It also strengthens family engagement through workshops and leadership opportunities, deepening the home-school connection. Together, these efforts promote student success and foster a more inclusive, connected school community. Bridging the Gap: Stronger Schools – Stronger Communities initiative was founded through the collaboration of Dr. Harris, our principal, and Mr. Sanders, principal of Lovejoy. This partnership is key to addressing growing challenges in our school community. By working with city leaders, we aim to improve safety, increase resources, and strengthen mental health support. Together, we can enhance student well-being, foster stronger school-family connections, and build a more resilient community for long-term student success.
Mayor Marci Fluellyn of Lovejoy has a significant impact on our school by actively working with us to address important community issues. Through open dialogue, she collaborates closely with schools and district leaders to foster a safer, more supportive environment for students. In addition, by engaging directly with parents at events and meetings, she strengthens the connection between local government and our school families, helping to build a more informed and unified community.
